Kick things off in the nation's vibrant capital Rio de Janeiro! Soak up the sun in Copacabana and wave to Christ Redentor from the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Then with the pulse of South America in your heart, vibe your way to one of country's most iconic wonders: Iguazú Falls. Follow your guide and get exhilaratingly close to the thundering cascades before heading off to sunny São Paulo. Taste your way through the city's mouthwatering street food, sip an ice-cold Caipirinha, sink into the concrete jungle and samba all night long. Brazil's holding out its hand. Will you take it?

Trip itinerary

You're tingling with excitement. You've waited for this for so long, and now it's finally happening! Your suitcase is packed with all the essentials, and you're already wheeling it through the airport, your portal to the next adventure. Before you know it, the sound of your suitcase wheels is replaced by the sound of jet engines as your plane speeds off into the night sky. The countless stars twinkle around you with the promise that the trip ahead is going to be a great one. You lean back, close your eyes and have a little snooze.

A sea of blazing lights appears beneath you and you know you've finally made it to the Brazilian metropolis of Rio de Janeiro! Just the name of the city is music to your ears. The Brazilians' zest for life and the spicy samba beats on the streets instantly have you in their grasp. You've got to experience this up close!  When you get to where you're staying, the first thing you do is take some time to settle in and explore the grounds a bit. And if you'd rather check out the surrounding area straight away, all you have to do is head to the famous Copacabana and get lost in the colourful chaos.

Lively Rio beckons you onto its streets with absolute must-sees, such as the famous Sugarloaf Mountain. So fish your cable car ticket out of your pocket full of souvenirs and make your way to unknown heights! Want to enjoy more of the exhilarating view? Then continue your high-altitude excursion and head up to the Corcovado. Behold the world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue as it towers right in front you, seemingly wanting to embrace the entire world – goosebumps! Then carry the exhilaration from the unique view of the city right on to the Catedral de São Sebastião, and when you enter the inconspicuous-looking building, you'll be speechless. The spectacular explosion of colour created when the light hits the stained-glass windows is indescribable! A little tip: to avoid getting lost in the bustling metropolis, follow an experienced guide who knows every inch of the city like the back of their hand (optional, payable on site).

Welcome to Rocinha, Rio's largest favela! With a wild network of cables above your head and homes perched on top of each other like Jenga blocks, it might not be polished, but it's authentic. If you want to experience the real deal away from the typical tourist spots, grab a local guide (bookable on site). Not only will they know every nook and cranny, they'll also show you Rio through the eyes of the Cariocas – the nickname for the locals! Did you know that almost 25% of Rio's residents live in favelas? Your local guide will give you an inside view of how these once illegal settlements became officially recognised districts. Cheer on as kids kick a ball about in the street, wave to friendly neighbours and listen to stories that'll stick in your memory. It's all about real life, connection and respect. So keep your eyes peeled, prick up your ears and open your heart for what's to come!
